Below is a complete list of American detective/mystery/crime shows from the 2010s, in alphabetical order. This includes shows that started in the 2000s and continued into the 2010s, as well as shows that started in the 2010s and continued into the 2020s. At the turn of the millennium, there was a surge in popularity of reality and true-crime series. However, the list below aims to bring into focus only scripted/fictional shows—reality tv series are omitted.

Clicking on a title link in the list below will take you to my post about that specific show (if I have created one). Additionally, the list also includes links to places where you can watch/stream the show online.

  1. Maybe you can help me. There was an add for a new TV female cop series, in which the lead – a blonde detective – is in the back of a taxi and displays a perfect balance of sass, cynicism and toughness. I think she ends up pulling her gone on the cab driver. I can’t recall the name of the show (though I think it may have been one word), I don’t know who the actress was, but she made a really good impression, and I never saw the show so I assume it bombed; but I would love to chase it down and see it for myself. I cannot find it on any of these lists. I suspect it was around 10 years ago.

  2. “Endgame” (2011) Great fun! “Arkady Balagan, a former world chess champion, witnesses the murder of his fiancee and subsequently develops a debilitating case of agoraphobia. Running out of money and unable to leave his hotel, Balagan uses his analytical skills to become a detective. But, because of his agoraphobia, Balagan needs help in his detective work. Enter his `pawns’, friends who venture into the outside world on Balagan’s behalf. The pawns include chess fanatic Sam, hotel bartender Danni, perceptive housekeeper Alcina and Balagan’s late fiancee’s sister, Pippa. The hotel’s defiant security manager, Hugo, tries to stop the chess master every chance he gets.” There’s only one season but it’s one of my favorite shows. Humor, mischief, & excellent detecting!
