While I tend to focus on TV shows on this website, I have to admit that the distinction between a movie and a TV show is a fuzzy one. In the case of Hallmark Mystery Movies, it’s notable that many of them are not produced as stand-alones. Rather, they are part of a series featuring the same characters and settings, and thus they are not much different from a limited-run TV series.
Below, I outline the various mystery movies that Hallmark has produced that are part of a series. Where relevant, I include links to where these movies may be streamed or purchased. Additionally, I also mention if the movie series are based on book series, so if you’re a fan of the TV movies you may also want to check out the books. And finally, I also note if more movies in the series have been commissioned.
The movie series are listed chronologically, according to the year that the first movie in the series first aired.
This page was last updated in January 2022. I update this page a few times per year with new information about upcoming or newly released movies. If you know of a movie that has just been released and hasn’t yet been added to the list, please let me know in the comments section.

Thanks for compiling!!! I think I have watched nearly all of these, except Holmes – never saw any
Now if we can get HMM to re-air McBride, probably my favorite series of them all, I’d be so happy!!!
Please be sure and update Chronicle and Crossword as they have each aired new episodes.

Thank you so much for this amazing list! What a FANTASTIC resource for someone like me who is late to the party and playing catch up! Haha! Hallmark should hire you. Your list was much easier to peruse!
Do you have a view on whether Signed Sealed Delivered fits within this grouping? Have to say, that movie series and then series series is what initially sent me down the Hallmark Mysteries rabbit hole hahaha! I blame Murder 101 for keeping me here ;P lol
Thanks again!

I keep doing a bit of a back and forth in trying to decide whether Signed Sealed Delivered would fit here. I have to admit I haven’t seen the series yet, so I feel I can’t decide until I see it for myself 🙂

Thank you for this, it’s a great resource! I have been reading the Joanne Fluke mysteries for over a decade but only saw my first Murder She Baked movie this year (on YouTube) as we don’t have cable/Hallmark. Since no others are available I am thrilled to know they are on DVD, and will be ordering immediately! I have Amazon Prime but don’t want to pay for each stream, etc.
I have seen very few of these others but some sound great, and many feature beloved young actors fron the 80’s! I saw Picture Perfect being advertised on Prime, but didn’t realize it had Alexa Pena Vega, we love her. So now I know that I would probably like that, maybe Jane Doe, if I can find it because I love then both. Some of these I never knew about so thanks again for this.
By the way, I don’t know if it should be here, either (maybe not) but I just saw the first film of Signed, Sealed Delivered in Prime for free, so if you are interested, it may still be available. I liked it but not sure it’s a mystery.

Thanks for your comment. I know about Signed Sealed Delivered and I keep wondering about adding it to the list. It’s not a traditional mystery, but it has some mystery elements. I think ultimately I’ll send up adding it to the list soon 🙂

They did release a DVD with all four Murder 101 movies (I don’t think you can find one with just the two). It’s listed on Amazon (https://amzn.to/34N7IZg) but I think they stopped producing the DVDs and you can only get them used.

Would love to see Signed Sealed Delivered on this fabulous list. There was a murder in the first episode. There is a mystery to be solved in each episode. SSD is my favourite series, thought I do enjoy the other Hallmark murder mysteries.

You’ve definitely convinced me now that it belongs on this list. I’ll be sure to add it soon 🙂
