American detective shows that premiered in 2020

This week, I’m continuing with my mission to compile a TV Detective Database listing all mystery/detective/crime shows ever made. I have already compiled lists spanning the decades from the 1950s until the 2010s. And now that the year 2020 is well behind us, I’ve been working on rounding-up all the shows that were produced that year. A few weeks ago, I already posted a list of detective shows produced in the United Kingdom in 2020. This time, in the post below, I presents mystery shows produced in the United States that premiered in the year 2020.

Although I refer to this part of my website as the “TV Detective Database”, it is often difficult to draw a hard line between detective shows and crime dramas or thrillers. Therefore, not all of the shows below feature detectives, but they all do incorporate typical mystery elements. Below, the shows are listed in alphabetical order, and I have also noted if a show skews more to the fantasy/horror/sci-fi genres, if relevant. I have also strived to include information about the channel that each show was produced for and a link to where the show can be streamed in the USA.

Although 2020 is now several months behind us, I hope you discover some new shows that you may have missed hearing about.
